Dr Vipin Tayal completed his basic medical degree (MBBS) in 1997 and qualified as a member of Royal College of Physicians UK in 2006, and a fellow of Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2015 and has been practicing Rheumatology and General Medicine since 2008.
Dr Tayal has special interest in treating inflammatory arthritis and Connective Tissue Diseases and coupled with his experience in general Medicine, he has developed expertise in managing patients with wide range of complex multisystem rheumatic disorders. Dr Tayal is committed to providing caring, efficient and personalised, rheumatology service to all his patients.
Dr Tayal has published in several peer reviewed journals and takes active interest in teaching (including GP’s), supervision and service improvement. He is a senior Visiting Medical Officer (Rheumatologist) at St Vincent’s Hospital Northside, Royal Darwin Hospital, lecturer College of Medicine and Public Health Flinders University and Consults at Private rooms in Bay Medical Specialists, Capalaba.

We provide joint aspiration and injection, the removal of inflamed fluid from a swollen joint to relieve pressure while simultaneously injecting with steroid to relieve inflammation. Steroid injection can also be given around bursa, tendons and ligaments to relieve inflammation.
